Serve Our Church

The Congregational Care Ministries team’s mission is to coordinate pastoral care within the church.  The team responsibilities include support for age-level ministries, coordinating visitation of elderly, those who may be ill, or otherwise homebound, sending cards, providing support within the church family.  Fellowship opportunities are promoted through congregational dinners, picnics, congregational breakfasts.  Spirituality growth is encouraged through Bible studies.

Children's Ministry Worker
Help plan, advise and coordinate children's activities such as VBS, special Christmas and Easter programs and events, Nursery assistance during Sunday School and Worship hour.* If you are interested in assisting in this area contact our Children's Coordinator.
Youth Ministry Worker
Being a Christian mentor to a young person can impact their lives forever. Join us by assisting with youth meetings, helping plan programs and events, providing refreshments, and being a chaperone.* - If you are interested in assisting in this area contact our Youth Coordinator
Sunday School Teacher
Are you willing to provide your talents as a Sunday School teacher? There are currently classes that meet on Sunday mornings at 9:45 AM. Click here to learn more or contact our Christian Education Coordinator.
Bible Study leader
Are you being called to lead a bible study or video series? Our church has a number of studies going almost all of the time. These studies offer an opportunity to grow in Christ and grow together in our faith. For more information contact our Spirituality Coordinator.
Prayer Warrior 

Become a part of our on-going prayer network. This is a ministry of prayer and intercession; send emails to members on the prayer chain (and make phone calls). If you would like to be added to this list or have updates contact our Nurture Chairperson.

Congregational Care
Send cards, call and visit those who have been ill, those who had a birthday, to those who are bereaved and provide encouragement to congregation. If you are interested in assisting with this ministry contact our Nurture Chairperson.
Lawn Care
There is opportunity to assist in ground maintenance, grass cutting, and landscaping the church and parsonage grounds. If you are interested in assisting contact our Trustees.
Write articles for newsletter, and newspaper notifying folks of upcoming events at Friendship.  Create exciting bulletin boards informing the congregation of various ministry activities.  To assist in this area contact our Communications Coordinator.
Library volunteer 
Friendship's library has many great reference, study and fiction books available to the congregation. If you would like to assist in cataloging and organizing the library, contact our Trustees
* Note: Friendship UMC has a Safe Sanctuary policy that requires a background check for all children and youth workers as well as being a part of our congregation for at least 6 months.
